Museum
Kumanovo

The National Institution Museum Kumanovo dates back to 1964, under the name National Museum Kumanovo. The museum building was formerly the villa of the well-known industrialist Zhivko Stojiljkovic, built in 1926 with the typical character of old urban architecture. It is located in the city center.
In 2004, it was re-registered as the National Institution Museum Kumanovo. The permanent exhibition includes around 7,000 exhibits from collections created through field research and scientific processing in archaeology, history, and ethnology.
For its research, exhibition, publishing, cultural, and educational work, the museum has received several awards and recognitions, including the November Award twice, in 1972 and 1986.
